Since successfully plugging the flowline and recovering the failed flowline connector at the South White Rose Extension Drill Centre (SWRX) on March 19, Husky has developed a plan to flush the SWRX flowline. The C-NLOPB has accepted Husky’s plan.
Husky has been monitoring forecasted conditions offshore for an appropriate weather window and has since determined there is a possible window for implementation beginning tomorrow, May 25, 2019.
Aerial surveillance will be on standby, however conditions are required to be suitable for aerial surveillance while operations proceed. There will be Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) coverage with Tier 1 spill response equipment available in the field.
Further discussion between the C-NLOPB and Husky will be required prior to resuming production from the SWRX, North Amethyst Drill Centre and the Southern Drill Centre.
